Where have we been you ask?

Life doesn't always work out just the way you plan.  Perhaps in my case going out and seeing our potential new digs might have been, in hindsight, a really really good idea......but alas I didn't do that.
What we found upon our arrival was a beautiful location, but just not a livable situation for our family.  Plus there were scorpions, rattlesnakes, and bull snakes... I admit I am a big scaredy cat when it comes to these potentially life-threatening critters.  So after five days and a lot of dirt in everything I had to make the decision to bail before the Sahara swallowed us whole.  What to do and where to go as we were one dirty, no filthy bunch.  So as our closest relatives were in Phoenix we headed down there to wash everything after running a black light(scorpion flashlight) over every inch of everything.  Did you know that the average daily temp in Phoenix this time of year is 115, with a frigid 90 at night.  Yep, downright blazing hot.  All our

Mexican/Navajo girls seemed to have no problem acclimating.  However Carter must have gotten more of the Greek side from me because we both could not deal with the heat.  So we are on our way back home now and will reside in Peterborough for the next year.  Hopefully getting a new home sometime soon, complete with yard and space for the ponies that I so want for my kids. I do have a request to throw out there to anyone that can help or may know of someone else that could help.  We were not able to bring our dog Biscuit home with us as the apartment building we are going to live in does not have any open apartments right now that take dogs.  So we had to leave Biscuit at my cousins house in Phoenix, he is paying rent, and will be well taken care.  However my Aunt feels that my cousin should not have to keep my dog(even though he's paying rent) and informed me that if I left him there she would begin looking around for a permanent home for him.  This is devastating to me as we got Biscuit the year before we lost our home and to think of having to lose/part with him now is awful.  It seems our family has been on this whirlwind quest to find our place in this world ever since we lost our house.  I made our trip out west last summer a big adventure and this years trip was meant to take us somewhere we could be happy and start a new life.  I love New Hampshire and all the friends that we have there, but have this persistent feeling that now that we have lost a home it may be years before we can get another one.  I am finding out though that there may be options out there and so will research those further upon my return home.  However in the meantime I would love to be able to buy a plane ticket for biscuit now and bring him home before he is given away out from under me.

If you can help or have any ideas please let me know.

I'm writing this tonight from my hotel room in Roland, Arkansas hoping to get an early start Saturday morning and make it home to NH by Sunday afternoon.  Cassy and Kelly will fly in on Monday afternoon.

Kelly if you read this both of your kitties are just fine.  They made the whole inside of the truck nice and hairy.  But they haven't managed to escape yet.

Biscuit if you're reading this, we haven't abandoned you, so enjoy your time in the burbs soaking up the A/C.

Amy if you're reading this I totally get the girls fighting thing now, bickering and picking at each other, when are we heading to Foxwoods for some Mom time.

Any Spinach Pie Lady fans that are reading this, I was flattered to find out that we have been asked after so much at the Groton Market.  We will be purchasing a rolling kitchen this winter so that we can return to the market next summer, as well as take on festivals, fairs, and processing our own goods for resale in stores.
